The Knox County Art League is excited to be a part of this years help-portrait give back to the local community! In December, photographers around the world come together, along with hair stylists, make-up artists and others to provide something to those in need. This holiday season, you have the chance to give a family something they may have never had before—a portrait together. This is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits will not end up in a portfolio, on a website, or be for sale. Money isn’t involved here.
We’re looking for volunteers in the community to be a part of this years global event of photographers, hair stylists, make-up artists and others to use their time, gear and expertise to give back to those in need. If you want to be a part of this benefit or to learn more please contact Glenn Frye or Jeff Kusner.
Since Help-Portrait started there have been over 200,000 portraits given by more than 40,000 photographers and volunteers in 60 countries around the globe.
Last Years Help Portrait
Last years’s event was such a rewarding experience for everyone involved. The Knox Count Art League event resulted in more than sixty portraits in just 4 hours.
